Who we are
WOTE YOUTH DEVELOPMENT PROJECT
TRANSFORMING YOUTH TO HEALTHY CITIZENS.
Wote youth was officially registered in March 2002. It was originally started as a football club when it was realized that it was gender biased, it was expanded to include other activities like Bicycle taxi, advocacy through drama and dance against HIV / AIDS, drug abuse, smoking, voluntary job, environmental conservation and income generating activities. The current education system has left a number of youth without skills to survive on their own because they either do not have the skill or the experience.
They have ended up frustrated and have taken up habits that destroy their health. It is with this in mind that wote youth was formed to give a foundation and value to these young boys and girls between the age of 5 – 24 years by tapping individual skills and developing it to its full potential while at the same time alleviating suffering of the under privileged and vulnerable members of the society. The project has three components each registered and is operated under wote youth development project. Madika youth, Wote youth F.C and wote youth club. The project involves the youth between 18-35 year of age in its entrepreneurships activities.
